Christmas Wrapping Up

How did the end of year arrive so fast?  The Junior Syndicate have been non-stop this Term!  Our Production 'When Santa Was Sleeping' was a real hit - with tickets selling out in advance.  The children kept up their enthusiastic singing voices right through to the last late night.  

Last week we had a school-wide competition to raise money for the local Surf Lifesaving Club.  Our class didn't quite win the ride in the IRB but we certainly did our best to bring in lots of coins.  Thanks children and families!

Several lucky children were able to wear their Production costumes again on the Mount Primary School Santa Parade float on the weekend.
Our Junior Syndicate end of year trip was to the Mount Rock Pools and then to Mount Drury for a Picnic lunch and much enjoyed play in the new playground (Not a good day to lay concrete in the park ....sorry about the footprints!)  Next we rocked back to school for a surprise ice-block.  Where would we rather live? :)

Production Preparation

My Family and I

This week we practised our 'look - draw' drawing skills to sketch self-portraits.  We used 'whisper' lines (using HB pencils), 'talk' lines and 'shout' lines.  

Next, we used wordle to create word pictures that described ourselves.

Finally we planed and created pastel and dye pictures that showed each of our families.
